We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled General Practitioner to join our growing clinical team.

The Role

As a General Practitioner or Family Medicine Specialist at Al Jazeera Medical Center, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will provide comprehensive primary care, manage chronic conditions, and lead our specialized wellness and weight management initiatives. We are looking for a clinician who excels in diagnosis, values long-term patient relationships, and possesses hands-on experience in modern metabolic health treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and provide initial diagnosis for patients of all ages.
• Manage medical weight loss programs, including the administration and monitoring of GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g., Mounjaro, Wegovy).
• Perform clinical procedures, including the administration of intravenous (IV) and intramuscular (IM) vitamin injections and nutrient therapy.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, respiratory infections).
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory work, X-rays, ECGs).
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Qatari health regulations.
• Refer patients to specialists within the medical center when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide health education and preventative counseling regarding nutrition, lifestyle, and weight maintenance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) from a recognized university. We are actively accepting applications from Family Medicine Specialists.
• Licensing: Must have a valid DHP (Department of Healthcare Professions) license or be eligible for licensure in Qatar.
• Proven experience in weight reduction procedures and metabolic health.
• Hands-on experience with Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) and Wegovy (Semaglutide) protocols.
• Proficiency in administering vitamin injections/infusions.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage).
• Strong interpersonal skills, specifically in motivating patients through long-term weight loss journeys.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
