Grade K Teacher - 1 Year Position

The Brewer School Department Is Accepting Applications For a Grade K Teacher - 1 Year Position For The 2026-2027 School Year. The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate The Following Abilities And Experiences

• Certified to teach elementary education (020 or 029 Endorsement) in Maine and CHRC approval
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
• Ability to work with and contribute to a collaborative team
• Demonstrate ability to plan and instruct using interdisciplinary units and technology
• Strong classroom management skills a must
• A solid understanding of the social, emotional and academic needs of students at this grade level
• Knowledge or experience in teaching within a proficiency based model is preferred
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate technology in the classroom
• Ability to pass background check
