Graduate Research Assistant

Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to assist with the ongoing digitization of the William Langer Papers and the Usher Burdick Papers, as well as the creation of the Milton R. Young Papers available through the Chester Fritz Library. These activities are part of the newly formed Northern Plains Digital Initiatives Higher Education Consortium (UND, Cankdeska Cikana Community College, Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College, Sitting Bull College, Turtle Mountain Community College, United Tribes Technical College). This Consortium is intended to address tribal college and Indigenous community archival needs involving the preservation, digitization, and curation of Indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage materials. The person in this position may also assist in community outreach, curricular, and co-curricular activities across the Consortium with the assistance of the Consortium’s Digital Archivist and Tribal Liaison.
