Description:

PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES:

1. Create a culture that maximizes customer service.

2. Make sure all safety procedures are understood and followed, with no exceptions.

3. The location must present a clean image, grain that is spilled must be cleaned up, dust must not be allow to accumulate, and dyers cleaned on a regular basis.

4. Work closely with the VP of grain as well as assistant merchandiser to maximize logistics as well as manage inventory

5. Work closely with the railroad to ensure smooth loading and logistics

6. Hire, organize, train, supervise, counsel, and terminate branch employees, delegating when appropriate and providing needed follow-up. Coordinating consultations with the management when appropriate.

7. Build a quality team of employees that has a passion for customer service. A team that is willing to work with and respect each other, which includes helping other divisions/locations.

8. Be able and willing to cross train employees to enhance skills sets so that employees have the necessary skills to help other divisions when needed.

9. Ensure grain facilities are maintained in excellent condition

10. Assign tasks to employees as needed.

11. Continue to maintain a safety culture that keeps employees safe and sunrise within compliance.

12. Act as a resource, guide, and coach to your direct reports, assisting with job development and growth. Helping to set goals and providing the means to work toward accomplishment.

13. Maintain highest grain quality meeting end users needs

14. Notify location manager immediately of mistakes, grain going out of condition, strange odors or smells and sounds that are not familiar.

15. Set and communicate location hours during harvest season to maximize customer experience

16. Set and communicate employee hours to maximize customer satisfaction while maintaining work life balance.

17. Work to understand all aspects of grain business.

18. All other duties as assigned
