Position Title: Grant Writer

Reports To: Senior Director of Operations

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Hybrid transition into Remote after Introductory Period

Through Christ, The Sharing Center provides dignified resources to those experiencing hardships, hunger, and homelessness. Since 1986, The Sharing Center has guided families and individuals toward financial stability and economic mobility.

Overall Responsibility:

The Grant Writer will research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, government entities, and civic groups. This role requires an individual with a strong background in grant writing or related fields. The Grant Writer will work closely with his or her grants team member and the Senior Director of Operations to ensure all proposals align with The Sharing Center's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Prepare, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals, ensuring alignment with The Sharing Center's strategic objectives.

Maintain an organized calendar of grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.

Collaborate with The Sharing Center’s Program, Development, and Finance teams to gather necessary information for grant proposals and reporting.

Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, progress, and outcomes in the Bloomerang database.

Assist in preparing success stories and social media content related to awarded grants.

Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in grant writing or a related field.

Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Familiarity with Bloomerang CRM or similar systems is a plus.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Salary Range: $42,000-$45,000

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Work Environment:

The Sharing Center is on a large campus with multiple retail programs and operations. Walking between departments is required. Some standing is needed, but most of the time, it will be in an office environment.
