Position Description:

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Graph Database Modeler within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.

The Graph Database Modeler designs, implements, and optimizes data models for graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, ArangoDB) to effectively store and retrieve relationships between data points. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, developing conceptual, logical, and physical graph data models, writing and optimizing graph queries (like Cypher or Gremlin), ensuring data integrity, and documenting data models to support applications in fields such as fraud detection, recommendation systems, and social networking.

This position is located in our Arlington VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Must live within a 50-mile radius of DMV/NCR

Your future duties and responsibilities:

.Requirements Gathering: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into detailed data models.
.Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models specifically for graph databases.
.Query Optimization: Write and tune complex graph queries using languages like Cypher or Gremlin to ensure efficient data retrieval and performance.
.Data Integrity & Governance: Implement and enforce standards and best practices to maintain data accuracy, stability, and consistency within the graph database.
.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for graph data models, specifications, and data dictionaries.
.Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, developers, and other IT teams to integrate graph databases into larger data ecosystems and solutions.
.Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of graph database models and queries for scalability and efficiency.
.Tooling: Utilize graph data modeling tools and platforms to create, manage, and visualize data models.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
.Security Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly
.Graph Database Expertise: Deep understanding of graph database concepts and experience with platforms like Neo4j, ArangoDB, or Amazon Neptune.
.Graph Query Languages: Proficiency in graph query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin.
.Data Modeling Principles: Strong foundation in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
.ETL/Data Integration: Experience with data integration tools and processes to load data into graph databases.
.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex relationships in data and translate them into effective models.
.Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills to work with various teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $111,600.00 - $241,600.00.
