Engagement Overview

Our agency (DH) is seeking an independent contractor to provide graphic and production design services for the For Our Lives campaign, funded by the Washington State Health Care Authority.


This engagement is project-based and focused on customizing and producing campaign materials for Tribal and Native-serving partners across Washington State. The contractor will determine the methods, schedule, and tools used to complete the agreed-upon deliverables and will operate as an independent business under a written agreement.

This project contributes to an effective work environment that honors trusted relationships and fosters culturally responsive collaboration with the 29 federally recognized Tribes and Native-serving organizations across Washington State.

Scope of Services and Deliverables

  • Services for this engagement may include:
  • Vectorizing logos and artwork for use in campaign materials
  • Customizing existing toolkit designs with updated logos, language, and contact information for Tribal partners
  • Designing promotional items and print-ready swag materials
  • Developing and maintaining icon and asset libraries aligned with campaign brand standards
  • Applying existing brand identity to new materials such as social posts, toolkits, and campaign assets
  • Providing illustration or coloring support for still or animated video assets, including light storyboarding as needed
  • Exporting print-ready files from Illustrator and InDesign for production
  • Preparing materials used in meetings and outreach with Tribes, Urban Indian Health Programs, Tribal schools, and Native Education program leads

A company point of contact will be available to provide brand guidance, project priorities, and clarification regarding deliverables.

Engagement Terms

  • This is a non-exclusive independent contractor engagement
  • The contractor determines their work schedule and methods
  • The contractor uses their own equipment and design tools
  • Certain deliverables may require timely coordination during typical business hours; the contractor determines how those coordination needs are met
  • Compensation is based on agreed-upon rates and deliverables outlined in the contract
  • The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits

Preferred Experience and Background

  • The contractor must be able to respond to design requests and communications within agreed-upon timeframes necessary to support campaign activities
  • Experience providing graphic or production design services for campaigns, agencies, or community-based initiatives
  • Experience working with Washington Tribes, Urban Indian Health Programs, or Native-serving organizations is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of Tribal sovereignty and culturally responsive collaboration
  • Relevant education, training, or lived experience that supports this work
