Responsibilities & Qualifications:

As a Graphic Designer, you will participate in designing a wide variety of things across digital and online media. Sparta Pewter is a manufacturer of promotional items primarily for the US military, as well as museums and gift shops. As such, most of the work will be designing logos and production art, and on occasion taking product pictures, creating brochures and possibly some web design.

In addition, you may also need to contribute to team efforts by accomplishing the following tasks as needed;

• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials
• Setting up production jobs such as Screen Printing, Full-Color Sublimation, Pad Printing, Embroidery, and Laser Engraving
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education:

High School Diploma (Talent, Skills, and a good Portfolio are more important than a degree)

You will be trained for this position; however, a strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is essential. (Wage dependent on skill level with Illustrator )

Skills/Competencies:

******Adobe Illustrator experience is a must ******

• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio;
• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, especially Illustrator and Photoshop;
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail (Spelling, etc)

Sparta Pewter is a manufacturer of promotional items primarily for the US military, as well as museums and gift shops. We have our own on-site Sales team, Art department, Production, and warehouse.

After 37 years in business, we've amassed a client list as impressive as the United States’s military might! Sparta Pewter is, first and foremost, a manufacturer. We specialize in 3-D custom pewter products. However, we have expanded our production lines over the years and we now also do the following in-house:
