Living the Mission
As ambassadors for Findlay Market, every team member plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission, values, and philanthropic efforts. Details
The GDA is responsible for the print and digital graphic collateral for the Corporation for Findlay Market (CFFM), including designing for events, programs, merchandise, wayfinding, and more. This position will work on projects for Findlay Market businesses, the Communications team, as well as all CFFM internal programs and promotions.
The GDA must work cross-organizationally to understand the needs of each department (Development, Finance, Food Innovation, Market Management) and must manage the scheduling and timeline of design projects to ensure that they are completed and executed appropriately. We are looking for someone who loves to collaborate and understands that this position will be working closely with non-designers across multiple teams. This person must have the ability to verbalize design direction to people unfamiliar with terminology and work through the visions that each person has through discussion and design.
The GDA must have the ability to work and stay within multiple brand guidelines. In addition to Findlay Market’s brand standards, CFFM oversees all branding and design work for internal programs, including Findlay Kitchen, Findlay Launch, Jane’s, Race Street Station, Greening the Market, Friends of Findlay Market, the Findlay Market Shopping App, and more.
This position must be able to handle multiple projects at once and be willing to adapt quickly. Due to the nature of being at Findlay Market, this person must also be a clear communicator and good with working with all types of personalities. The person will be expected to work in an office setting, but also spend time at Findlay Market to better understand the environment for which they are designing.
The GDA will be responsible for taking projects from concept through full execution. This includes measuring physical spaces for signage and installations, preparing production-ready files, coordinating with vendors and printers, managing orders and timelines, and ensuring final products are accurate and high-quality. Experience with print and digital campaigns—including signage, wayfinding, and environmental design—is important. Apparel design and photography experience is a plus. Being able to take a campaign from concept to design to print/production is crucial. Working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities is a must.
