Graphic Design Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to join our marketing and design team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop your portfolio, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about design, eager to learn, and proficient in industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities

The Graphic Design Intern will assist the senior design team with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Content Creation: Design high-impact visual assets for social media, including animated stories, carousels, and feed graphics that drive engagement and appetite appeal.
• Menu & Print Design: Assist in designing print collateral, such as restaurant menus, packaging mock-ups, table tents, and direct mail flyers.
• Digital Campaign Assets: Create assets for digital advertisements (banner ads, email templates) and website refreshes that maintain a consistent, appetizing brand identity.
• Image Optimization: Process and professionally retouch food photography, ensuring accurate color, appetizing texture, and overall visual appeal across all platforms.
• Branding Support: Help develop and maintain brand guidelines for new clients, focusing on typography and color palettes that evoke a culinary atmosphere.
• Trend Research: Stay current with food photography trends, viral food content, and restaurant design to inform creative strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical design skills is required.

Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is essential, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Familiarity with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of design principles (typography, color theory, layout, etc.).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of web design principles (UX/UI) or HTML/CSS is a bonus.
