We are looking for a detail-oriented and hard-working Graphic Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate can function in a fast-paced environment and will take the initiative to increase our production efficiency while reducing our total cost outlay. We are open to part-time students or full-time experienced candidates.

Main Function: Publications & Graphics

Purpose: To perform professional graphic design and art work for camera ready printed material; to provide consultation in graphic design; perform related work.

Minimum Qualifications: Good knowledge of computer graphic design techniques; working fluency with the Adobe software suite preferred design software.

Experience: Conceptualizing ideas and translating into camera-ready copy or digitally equivalent pre-press work via computer and traditional methods; creating design proofs for leadership to approve

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of promotion and marketing concepts

Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods

Ability to convey information effectively

Key Responsibilities

Confers with and advises leadership on graphic design and multimedia projects; creates design concepts and makes recommendations to leadership; determines format, layout, artwork, photography, paper type, colors, typeface, typesetting specifications, ink selections, size, and finish; estimates project costs and production times; creates illustrations, digital output, line drawings, sketches, and related artwork; performs digital imposition; coordinates printing; utilizes graphic design software in developing marketing/information materials.
