Role Summary:

The role involves working within the design team to transform complex data into visually compelling stories using advanced design techniques, AI tools, and creative designs tailored for publication on news websites, social media platforms, and other digital outlets. The purpose is to enhance audience engagement and effectively convey messages through creative storytelling. This position will work closely with editorial teams to ensure data aligns with the digital standards of the group’s platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform raw data into infographic designs and visuals tailored for social media platforms, news websites, and other digital channels, enhancing storytelling and audience engagement.
• Innovate creatively by staying up-to-date with the latest trends in infographic design, proposing innovative concepts, and delivering outstanding visual content.
• Integrate AI design by utilizing AI-based tools and methodologies such as MidJourney and Runway ML to create dynamic visuals and realistic content that elevate visual storytelling.
• Adapt to sudden changes and modifications without compromising work quality, collaborating with various teams to deliver projects on time.
• Manage multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and meet daily publishing deadlines.
• Collaborate with the department manager to ensure the smooth production process, maintain required quality standards, and support the team in creating a comfortable work environment.
• Contribute to post-production processes, execute promotional tasks and presentations, and utilize the latest ideas in infographic design to keep up with changes and enhance quality.
• Work with editorial teams to understand data sources and reporting requirements, producing high-quality visuals that effectively convey key messages while offering new perspectives, ideas, and suggestions.
• Adhere to Al Ain News’ editorial policies and visual identity, ensuring compliance with publishing policies and intellectual property rights in the UAE.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in media, Applied Arts, Graphics, or a related field.
• 4 years of academic and professional experience in infographic creation, data visualization, and designing content for digital platforms, media organizations, advertising agencies, or television channels.
• Academic expertise in design and transforming numbers, data, and text into visually appealing designs.
• Professional experience in infographic design within media organizations, television channels, or digital platforms.
• Proficiency in the Adobe Suite with advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with the ability to use and apply AI tools in daily tasks.
• AI knowledge, including a background in AI-based design, hands-on experience with tools like MidJourney and Runway ML, and familiarity with generative design methodologies.
• Strong ability to analyze data and translate it into cohesive visual stories, with attention to detail and design consistency.
• Flexibility to work within changing schedules and consistently meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and understanding editorial workflows.
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing) with strong technical and professional knowledge
