GRAPHIC DESIGNER – On-Site

Recon Northwest is a marketing, design and production agency that helps clients elevate their ideas with a range of full-service solutions. We are responsible for design, production and execution of custom products, event spaces, brand activations, premium packaging, marketing and print collateral. We are looking for people who can grow, problem solve, execute, think outside the box and be creative for our clients. Our designers need to be well rounded and comfortable with varying styles of design in both look and execution. You will work alongside multiple teams and clients in order to interpret creative briefs and take written or spoken ideas into realized designs. Being able to concept designs in 2D and follow through to real-world solutions is a must. The designer’s job is to create and organize client facing decks, develop visualizations through multiple rounds of design and create print/collateral files. Succeeding in this role requires an innovative thinker with experience working with large consumer brand guidelines who has the ability to work under pressure. Recon requires excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and an overall get it done attitude. You will be asked to design and work at a fast pace to meet client deadlines, while ensuring the highest level of quality to exceed expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and execute multiple projects within tight timelines
• Ideate multiple design solutions for any given brief
• Design and develop mockups for printed collateral, apparel embellishments/graphics, customized footwear, packaging, large-format graphics and more
• Work with in-house teams through multiple rounds of edits to achieve client approval
• Present design intent both internally and externally as needed
• Work efficiently to build final print files for production and manage hand off to internal or external partners
• Work hand in hand with our in-house Production team on material selection and final production details to ensure the client’s vision comes to life
• Solve problems in a creative and resourceful way
• Maintain file structure and asset organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience (graphic design, industrial design, product design, etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Strong skills in layout, composition and typography
• Understanding of CMF principles
• Takes pride in delivering premium work and has a high attention to detail
• Good communication skills: both in person and via email
• Quick learner and willingness to learn
• Ability to multitask
• Deadline-oriented
• Time management and organizational skills
• Team player

Nice to have:

• Skills in basic 3D modeling and rendering
• General fabrication knowledge
