Job Title: Graphic Designer (Packaging & Product Focus) - CONTRACT to HIRE


Compensation & Work Environment

  • Compensation: The initial contract rate is competitive, with a target $55,000 - $60,000 salary upon successful conversion to a full-time employee (FTE).
  • Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site position. The required hours are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm .

Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our growing in-house design team. This role is essential for developing engaging and market-ready consumer products, with a primary focus on packaging design and product graphics . The ideal candidate will be adept at taking a product from concept through to final production art, all while ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines and licensor specifications. You'll be joining a diverse and highly creative team that currently includes talent from animation and video game industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Design and prepare production-ready files for a wide range of product packaging (e.g., boxes, blister cards, labels, inserts) and product graphics.
  • Licensor Management: Work closely with established licensor style guides, ensuring all creative assets meet required brand standards and submission protocols.
  • Production Art: Manage and maintain art files, preparing final artwork for printers and manufacturers, including die lines, proofs, and color specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the product development, marketing, and sales teams to align design with business goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of all artwork to ensure accuracy, consistency, and print readiness before final release.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design , particularly packaging design and production art.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign , Illustrator , and Photoshop .
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of print production processes, color management, and file preparation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


A Strong Plus (But Not Required)

  • Prior experience designing for products within the craft or activity categories.
  • Experience working with established licensed intellectual property (IP).
