Job Description
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing Old Dominion University’s brand to life through creative design that informs, inspires, and engages prospective students and families. This position creates visual assets for print and digital campaigns, events, and on-campus experiences that support undergraduate recruitment, yield, and engagement. Working collaboratively within the Enrollment Marketing team, the designer ensures brand consistency across all touchpoints and contributes to the University’s mission to attract, enroll, and retain diverse and talented students.

Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, and layout for both print and digital mediums. Familiarity with marketing and recruitment communications, accessibility standards, and higher education environments.


Skills:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong visual storytelling and brand alignment skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management.

Abilities:
  • Translate strategic marketing goals into creative design solutions.
  • Maintain ODU’s brand integrity across all materials.
  • Work collaboratively with copywriters, digital strategists, and campus partners.
  • Deliver high-quality creative under tight timelines.
