The Graphic Designer creates and directs graphic-related work for the company. Design work may include newspaper advertising, web site content, trade show exhibits, direct mail pieces, corporate identity work, catalogs, flyers and other promotional and presentation materials.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Design and produce presentation materials to support training sessions, management meetings, and executive-level presentations. This includes flyers, brochures, advertising, posters, direct marketing materials. May create and implement Internet and intranet graphics and banners.
- Develop and implement design strategies to enhance company’s brand image.
- May recommend, implement, and maintain hardware and software tools necessary for efficient design operations within the department.
- May write and design marketing collateral such as feature articles, advertisements, biographies, and press releases to support communication initiatives.
- Identify, recommend, source, and manage external creative resources (e.g., freelance designers, agencies) to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Provide design and color copy support for sales associates and representatives, particularly for new home development projects.
- Prepare and deliver final design files to printers and vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Review and approve proofs to maintain brand consistency and production standards.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to align design projects with business objectives.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s degree in graphic design, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a graphic designer on a variety of media including Internet.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expert-level skills in PC and Mac platforms using industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with emerging design technologies.
- Strong ability to develop innovative design concepts that align with brand identity and project objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environments and adapt to evolving design trends and technologies.
- Understanding of branding principles, marketing strategies, and how design impacts audience engagement.
- In-depth understanding of printing processes, color theory, typography, and electronic production methods, including digital and web-based formats.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting design ideas clearly.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret client needs, troubleshoot design challenges, and deliver practical, creative solutions.
Wage: $31.50 - $34.00 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience.
