FULL-TIME POSITION: 40 Hours A Week

JOB SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for transforming ideas into visually compelling ideas that elevate PBS Reno’s brand story across multiplatform and print channels. This role interprets creative briefs, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and develops thoughtful design solutions—from campaign assets and social content to presentations, infographics, and branded collateral.

Blending creativity with strategic thinking, the Graphic Designer ensures each piece is visually engaging, on‑brand, and purposeful. They manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt designs based on feedback, and stay inspired by current design trends and emerging tools. Their work brings concepts to life and strengthens PBS Reno’s visual voice with consistency and impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Develop Visual Concepts: Create original design concepts based on creative briefs, brand guidelines, and project objectives.

· Produce Print & Digital Assets: Design marketing materials including posters, banners, flyers, brochures, presentations, infographics, social media graphics, web assets, email layouts, and advertisements.

· Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials align with established brand identity, voice, and standards across all platforms.

· Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Work closely with PBS Reno teams to understand project needs and deliver effective design solutions.

· Prepare Production-Ready Files: Package, export, and format artwork for print vendors, digital platforms, and internal use, ensuring technical accuracy.

· Revise and Refine Designs: Incorporate internal and external feedback, adjusting visuals as needed while maintaining quality and intent.

· Manage Multiple Projects: Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle concurrent design assignments in a fast-paced environment.

· Stay Current on Trends: Research and apply design trends, tools, and emerging technologies to keep creative output fresh and relevant.

· Ensure Visual Accessibility: Apply design principles that support readability, clarity, and accessibility across diverse audiences and platforms.

· Support Creative Strategy: Contribute ideas, concepts, and creative solutions during brainstorming and planning sessions.

KEY WORK SKILLS:

· Ability to work effectively within a team environment

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong understanding of design principles including typography, layout, and color.

· Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

· Manages time effectively to meet deadlines

· Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and accuracy

· Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, small-team environment

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· At least 3-5 years of industry experience

· Desired Majors: BS, BFA, or BA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· Experience supporting marketing or media campaigns.

· Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Canva, as well as Microsoft Office Suite

· Experience with content monetization strategies (e.g., ads, sponsorships, merchandise).

· Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or YouTube Analytics is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
