Graphic Designer

Graphic Designer / Ad Production / Social Media - Part time

Exchange Publishing is looking for a creative, detail-oriented designer to join our close-knit team. This combined role covers print ad creation, page layout/ pagination, web content management, social media, and content curation across our portfolio of publications, including our weekly Exchange paper and other special print projects such as event programs and show guides.

Responsibilities:

• Design print and digital ads for all Exchange publications and special projects
• Create and curate content for print, web, and social media platforms
• Maintain and update our websites using our back-end content management system
• Assist with social media posting, scheduling, analytics, and community management across Facebook & Instagram
• Assist with lay out our weekly Exchange newspaper using our proprietary page layout program and Adobe InDesign
• Collaborate closely with the ad creation and graphic design team

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat on a Mac
• Working knowledge of website content management systems
• Social media savvy with experience in content planning, scheduling tools, analytics, and audience engagement
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and layout/ puzzle-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior knowledge of the publishing industry, page layout, and ad creation is a plus
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving tools and platforms

Job Type: 25 - 30 hours per week, on site, not remote. The schedule is Wednesday 9am-6pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-1pm.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
