Graphic Designer

SUMMARY
Graphic Designers will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging menus and other print and digital materials.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
  • Collaborate with the client to understand the project assignment to create and layout custom menus for various types of hospitably businesses including restaurants, bars, catering services, spas, etc.
  • Select appropriate typography, color schemes, and imagery that align with the client’s identity and enhance the menu’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Prepare drafts of design work and provide samples to clients and/or other appropriate staff or departments for review.
  • Revise projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
  • Consult with Director and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of design excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Demonstrable graphic, layout, and type skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Strong organizational ability with a focus on quality and attention to detail, and visual acuity.
  • Advanced grammar and writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Displays creative flair, versatility and originality
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients, artists, sales staff, and managers.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 2+ years of graphic design experience.

  • Shift: Monday - Friday

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Compensation: $22.75 - $28.50 hourly
  • Location: Onsite, in-person

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions and/or hazardous conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; stand and walk occasionally (including in the plant); near vision acuity for computer work; ability to communicate clearly through verbal interactions on the phone and in person; and fine motor skills to operate a keyboard/mouse and other office equipment.
