Position Summary
MJ2 Marketing is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to help bring brands to life through compelling visual storytelling. This role is responsible for developing high-quality creative assets across digital, print, web, and campaign channels that support our clients' growth objectives.
As a key member of our creative team, you'll collaborate with strategists, marketers, content creators, and developers to design impactful marketing materials that activate brands, amplify messaging, and optimize audience engagement. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Graphic Designer at MJ2 Marketing, you will:
- Design marketing and advertising assets across digital and print platforms, including social media graphics, websites, email campaigns, presentations, digital ads, brochures, trade show materials, and branded collateral.
- Create visually compelling designs that align with client goals, marketing strategies, and established brand standards.
- Collaborate closely with account managers, content strategists, digital marketers, and developers to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency across all client and agency materials, maintaining adherence to visual identity guidelines.
- Adapt and refine creative assets based on campaign performance data, stakeholder feedback, and evolving business objectives.
- Develop layouts, graphics, iconography, and visual systems that improve user experience and communication effectiveness.
- Prepare production-ready files for digital and print applications, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, concept development, and campaign planning.
- Stay current on industry trends, design technologies, AI-enhanced creative tools, and emerging best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high creative standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Time Allocation
Creative Design & Asset Development (60%)
- Develop high-impact visual assets that support client marketing initiatives and business growth.
- Design creative materials across multiple channels while maintaining visual consistency and effectiveness.
- Translate strategic marketing objectives into engaging visual communications.
- Iterate and improve creative based on campaign performance and audience engagement.
Brand Stewardship & Visual Excellence (30%)
- Maintain and strengthen client brand identities through consistent application of visual standards.
- Ensure all creative work aligns with brand guidelines, typography systems, color palettes, and design principles.
- Support the development and refinement of brand guidelines when needed.
- Uphold MJ2's commitment to quality, attention to detail, and creative excellence.
Collaboration & Strategic Support (10%)
- Partner with marketing, content, and development teams to create cohesive campaign experiences.
- Contribute creative ideas during strategy sessions and campaign planning meetings.
- Support internal marketing initiatives, presentations, proposals, and agency branding efforts.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and creative efficiencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Hard Skills
- 3+ years of professional graphic design experience within an agency, marketing, or in-house creative environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Advanced experience with Figma and collaborative design platforms.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, branding, and visual communication.
- Experience designing for digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, websites, and paid advertising.
- Knowledge of print production processes and file preparation standards.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and responsive web design best practices.
- Simple animations and motion graphics a plus
- Understanding of AI-assisted design tools and emerging creative technologies is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
