A Day in the life
A Day in the Life of a Graphic Designer at Stanley Martin Homes is all about creativity, collaboration, and innovation. You’ll lead the development of campaigns, marketing collateral, and communication materials, ensuring every design aligns with our brand’s identity and resonates with our audience. Your day might include fine-tuning brochures, crafting email campaigns, resizing banner ads, editing videos, or designing interactive content for both internal and external audiences. Collaboration is essential as you brainstorm ideas, present creative concepts, and work with the team to refine design processes that keep our brand evolving. With every project, you'll play a vital role in strengthening Stanley Martin’s connection with customers and telling our story in a way that’s clear, engaging, and uniquely us, all while adhering to Stanley Martin’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

What is Stanley Martin looking for ?
The ideal Graphic Designer is a creative problem solver with strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. They pay close attention to detail, possess excellent organizational skills, and can successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. With a positive attitude and a knack for clear communication—both written and verbal—they work well independently and as part of a cohesive team that includes designers, marketing coordinators, and managers. Their strong orientation towards systems, processes, and technology ensures they can adapt to new tools, maintaining efficiency while delivering impactful designs that meet business goals.
Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a focus/major in Graphic Design
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Advanced in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
  • Proficient in After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Experience in Dreamweaver (HTML, CSS)
  • Outstanding creative judgment and familiarity developing creative in digital and print media
  • An ability to think both creatively and strategically, effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, and perform under pressure with a close attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and written/oral communication
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and leadership
  • This is a hybrid position, four days a week in office (Reston, VA)
Nice to Haves
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • 3D modeling, lighting, rendering experience
