Graphic Designer – Creative Services Team

Starting Salary: $45,000

ELCO Apparel creates custom apparel built around meaningful messages, including faith-based designs and Christian apparel. Our team creates products that allow customers to share their beliefs, values, and stories through clothing.

A personal faith background is not required for this role. However, applicants should understand that ELCO's products, brands, and work environment include Christian messaging and faith-based apparel.

Position Overview

ELCO Apparel is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team. This role will focus on creating original apparel designs from concept to completion for our internal brand.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys starting with a blank page, developing creative ideas, and turning meaningful messages into designs that connect with customers.

This role is focused on original design creation and will not rely on purchasing third-party artwork. The Graphic Designer will help shape the creative direction of our brand through fresh ideas, artwork, and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Create FIVE original apparel designs each week from new ideas, themes, and messaging.
• Develop original concepts, artwork, and visual styles from scratch.
• Create designs that align with the brand and customer audience.
• Design with screen printing and DTF production methods in mind to ensure artwork translates well to finished apparel.
• Create website graphics, product images, and marketing assets.
• Design email graphics and promotional materials for internal brands.
• Assist with Shopify storefront setup for future clients, including product layouts, collections, and visual presentation.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services Team and Production Team throughout the design process.
• Maintain organized design files and creative resources.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating original design work and creative thinking.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Understanding of apparel design and print production preferred.
• Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color, and composition.
• Ability to develop multiple concepts and bring ideas from beginning stages to final artwork.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
