THE ROLE

The Graphic Design Assistant supports the Retail Marketing team in developing compelling visual content that reflects the Shoe Palace brand. In this role, you will assist in creating visual concepts using digital design tools to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers across retail and digital platforms.

Range: $20.00-$24.00

THIS IS WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY BE LIKE

• Assist the Retail Marketing Manager with store recaps, brand display concepts, and design mockups
• Support the development of creative assets for retail marketing initiatives and campaigns
• Collaborate with the team to determine the message and visual direction for design projects
• Present design concepts and revisions to the Retail Marketing team
• Review designs for accuracy and quality prior to printing or publishing
• Prepare files for production, ensuring assets meet required specifications

ABOUT YOU

• Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Relevant experience or a strong portfolio is equally valued
• Strong creative thinking and attention to visual detail
• Self motivated, proactive, and collaborative team player
• Ability to work with both traditional and digital design tools
• Strong time management skills with the ability to support multiple projects
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a fast paced creative environment

THE TECH

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Ability to work with layered Illustrator files
• Experience preparing print ready files in Illustrator or InDesign
• Familiarity with Photoshop retouching and image editing
• Understanding of common design file types and production standards

IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT NOT COMPLETELY NECESSARY TO HAVE

• Experience within the retail or athletic footwear industry
• Familiarity with digital asset management or web based design environments
