Graphic Designer At Miami Mixed Media

We’re looking for our next team member to join the MMM Team!

Position: Production Graphic Designer (Screen Printing & Embroidery)

A little bit about us:

We’re Miami Mixed Media — a creative production company proudly rooted in the heart of Miami’s Little River business district. For over 10 years, we’ve built a reputation as one of the city’s most innovative print and embroidery houses — partnering with brands, artists, and businesses to bring their ideas to life.

At MMM, we specialize in pushing the limits of screen printing — developing new techniques, experimenting with textures, and refining our craft to achieve the highest level of quality and creativity. Our capabilities also include embroidery and live event activations, where we merge art, technology, and hands-on production.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for designers who understand that great design must also work in real-world production.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Production Graphic Designer with prior exposure to screen printing or embroidery workflows and a basic understanding of color separation.

This is a hands-on, hybrid role that bridges creativity and production. The right candidate must understand how artwork translates from screen to garment — not just how it looks on a monitor.

You will be responsible for preparing production-ready artwork, creating basic color separations, organizing files, and supporting workflow coordination using Excel/Sheets.

Growth Opportunity

This position offers a clear path for advancement into:

  • Production Artist
  • Creative Operations
  • Production Analyst

For someone who is organized, accurate, and proactive, there is real upward movement here.

What You’ll Be Doing

Production Artwork Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format artwork for screen printing, embroidery, and DTF using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Create and refine basic color separations (spot colors, underbases, channel separations).
  • Convert artwork into production-ready files (outline fonts, clean vectors, correct color modes).
  • Review and proof files for sizing, placement, color accuracy, and embroidery specs.
  • Prepare mockups and revisions for client approvals.
  • Maintain organized digital artwork folders tied to active production jobs.
  • Ensure artwork aligns with real press capabilities and garment limitations.
  • ️ Operations & Workflow Support
  • Track production jobs and assist with scheduling.
  • Maintain logs and reports using basic Excel / Google Sheets (SUM, sorting, filtering).
  • Support management with order coordination and internal tracking.
  • Communicate clearly with printers, embroidery operators, and managers to prevent errors.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of graphic design or print production experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop (required).
  • Basic experience creating or assisting with color separations for screen printing.
  • Understanding of spot colors vs CMYK.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a production-focused environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • ️ Important:

This is not a branding-only or marketing design position.
This role focuses on production-ready artwork that goes directly to press.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Valuable)

  • Experience with Printavo or similar production software.
  • Familiarity with embroidery file prep.
  • Experience working inside a print shop.
  • Exposure to advanced separation techniques.

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Paid vacation and sick days.
  • Holiday pay.
  • Flexible spending account (company credit card for work-related expenses).
  • 401k with matching contributions.
  • Team building events and activities.
  • Exclusive MMM swag.
  • A collaborative, pet-friendly environment with Cha Cha and Pelusa by your side.

Think you’re the perfect fit for the MMM Team?

We’d love to hear from you! Send us your resume or portfolio and tell us why you’d be a great addition to our crew.

We look forward to meeting you!
