Responsibilities


This position is responsible for the development, design, and delivery of original graphics, print, and digital content as well as associated materials for Anne's College.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designs and prepares high-quality original layouts and designs for a variety of media platforms, including brochures, posters, postcards, digital cards, social media, websites, and intranet purposes. Works to maintain a unified and consistent look across various marketing and communication platforms to ensure comprehensive brand management.
  • Works collaboratively across Anne's College to ensure high-quality marketing materials are produced in a timely fashion. Reviews proofs and edits, as necessary.
  • Collaborates with Anne's College faculty and staff as well as the program director of SOAR to determine project goals, deadlines, and format. Plans and oversees work and production schedules for print and digital projects, as well as consults on proper preparation and technical specifications to achieve desired outcomes. Conducts research of current marketing and communication trends and campaigns used by peer institutions. Adheres to standards set by University Branding, the Office of University Communications, and SOAR.
  • Performs administrative functions to support multimedia design work. Maintains project files and project tracking efficiently and in a timely manner. Assists other needs of the Office of Strategic Outreach and Recruitment as needed to meet the goals of both the office and Anne's College.
  • Provides guidance to student employees, interns, and OPS employees as needed by mentoring them on design principles and technical challenges. Ensures that design and technical skills are kept current through on-the-job training, review of professional publications, and appropriate training.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of relevant experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with print publication, in particular magazines, postcards, formal invitations, mailers, and posters.
  • Previous experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of branding and brand compliance best practices.
  • Time management and organizational skills.

Anticipated Salary Range


The anticipated starting salary for this position is in the range of high $40,000’s to low $50,000’s, commensurate with experience and education.
