Graphic Designer & Packaging Specialist (Cannabis)

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer & Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic in-house team. This is not an entry-level role. You will be responsible for creating and executing all brand and packaging solutions for our cannabis company. Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative, print-ready packaging and marketing materials that are 100% compliant with state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of CPG/packaging work and a deep understanding of OMMA regulations.

Duties

• Develop and execute creative concepts for product packaging (pouches, jars, labels, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and OMMA compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership and compliance teams to ensure all designs are accurate, approved, and ready for print.
• Design digital assets for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality graphics and layouts that meet project specifications.
• Manage color theory and typography effectively to enhance visual communication across all design projects.
• Manage print vendor relationships and oversee the production process to ensure final quality.
• Create motion graphics or simple video content to support marketing initiatives.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of all design projects.
• Present design concepts clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine final outputs.

Experience

• Required: 3-5+ years of professional graphic design experience.
• Required: A strong portfolio showcasing branding and real-world CPG/product packaging projects. (Applications without a portfolio will not be considered).
• Required: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
• Highly Preferred: Direct experience designing for the Oklahoma cannabis industry and a strong understanding of OMMA compliance regulations.
• Strong technical understanding of print production, color management, layout design, typesetting, and preparing print-ready files.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate design ideas effectively.
• Experience in other regulated industries (like alcohol or pharmaceuticals) is a significant plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.50 - $38.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
