Graphic Designer – Screen Printing & Embroidery

Zia Graphics, a trusted leader in custom apparel and event merchandise for over 60 years, is seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our team. We produce apparel and merchandise for sporting events, cultural events, corporations, universities, schools, and organizations nationwide.

We’re looking for a confident team member with a strong eye for composition, the ability to design quickly and accurately, and the versatility to work across a wide range of styles.

Job Summary

The Graphic Designer will collaborate with our Graphics, Events, and Sales teams to create compelling designs for screen print, embroidery, and other custom merchandise. This role requires strong creative ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create exciting and original t‑shirt and apparel graphics—from concept through final output—primarily using CorelDraw.
• Interpret and execute design direction from clients, sales team, and management.
• Manage multiple design projects while meeting deadlines and staying within budgeted time.
• Maintain accurate worklog of time spent on jobs.
• Output spot‑color and simulated‑process separations using RIP software.
• Prepare camera‑ready files for various imprint processes and custom-logoed merchandise.
• Incorporate feedback from team members and offer creative improvements when appropriate.
• Ensure designs are production-ready for screen printing and embroidery.

What we’re looking for

• Strong design, composition, and communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years graphic design experience
• Proficiency with CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop on PC.
• Knowledge of screen‑printing processes, spot‑color separations, and garment decoration.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• At least 2 years of higher education in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to prioritize duties, work under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Portfolio required showcasing t‑shirt graphics, logo design, or related commercial design work.
