Location: Digigraphx Embroidery and Signs – Warren, MI

Job Type: Part-Time (15–20 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
*We are looking to start with mornings and eventually move the shift to noon-4:00pm.
No weekends or major holidays

We’re looking for a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Graphic Designer and Sign Shop Assistant with Experience in a Sign Shop.

As a Graphic Design and Sign Shop Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both the creative and production sides of our business. This position involves assisting with graphic design projects, preparing signage for production, and providing excellent customer service to clients looking to bring their ideas to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email to understand their design and signage needs
• Create and prepare artwork for a variety of projects including banners, signage, business cards, logos, vehicle graphics, and vehicle wraps
• Support daily sign shop production, including hands-on table work and material preparation. This position is not just to design, you will be working out in the shop to complete the actual order
• Help coordinate and track projects to ensure deadlines are met and jobs are completed from start to finish
• Operate large-format printers, vinyl cutters, laminating machine (training provided if you do not already know how to operate)
• Placing orders with our vendors directly
• Lift and move materials up to 30 pounds as needed while assisting with shop tasks

What We’re Looking For

• Most be proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Photoshop is a plus)
• Experience working in a sign shop
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with team members, including shop associates and company owners
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently while meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to use cutting tools and read a ruler
• A design portfolio showcasing relevant work is required
• Willingness to learn hands-on sign production processes
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable

Hours & Benefits:

-Part-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (15–20 hours/week)
*Ideally this position would be moved to afternoons Noon-4:00
