Role Overview
The Graphic Designer Trainee will support the Creative & Editorial Department in producing high-quality visual content for digital platforms. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to build a professional design portfolio and gain practical experience in a fast-paced media, research, and educational environment.
You will work on social media designs, infographics, research visuals, magazine layouts, and branding materials for CWI and its associated projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visual assets such as posters, banners, thumbnails, and infographics.
- Assist in designing layouts for CWI Magazine, Cyber Watch, articles, and research briefs.
- Support branding projects—logo usage, color consistency, typography.
- Collaborate with content writers, researchers, and editors for design requirements.
- Prepare designs optimized for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and web.
- Edit templates and produce marketing materials for campaigns.
- Participate in weekly design review meetings and follow feedback.
- Maintain organized design files and assets.
Skills Required (Beginner-Friendly)
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Canva (required)
- Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator (optional but preferred)
- Figma (plus point)
- Good sense of aesthetics, typography, and layout.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and project briefs.
- Curiosity to learn design trends and experiment creatively.
Eligibility
- Students or fresh graduates in:
- Graphic Design
- Media Studies
- IT / Computer Arts
- Social Sciences with design interest
- Freelancers or self-taught designers are also encouraged.
- No professional experience required — just talent and willingness to learn.
