The Brickers Foundation is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer volunteer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and a passion for visual storytelling. You will be responsible for creating compelling designs that effectively communicate our brand message across various platforms. This role requires proficiency in both digital and print design, as well as a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of design principles.
Duties
- Develop visual concepts and designs for branding, onboarding/marketing materials, and digital content.
- Create logos, illustrations, and other graphics that align with our brand identity.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to produce engaging graphics and video content.
- Design layouts for web pages, presentations, and print advertising materials.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) to execute design projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into your work.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Squarespace - a plus
Qualifications
- Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in digital art, branding, and UI design.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Canva, Sketch, CorelDRAW, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Strong understanding of color theory, layout design, typography, and visual design principles.
- Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
