We're Hiring - Graphic Designer (YouTube Thumbnails + Instagram Carousels)

Shot Social is a creator and podcast agency working with some of the biggest names in the space. We're scaling fast and need a sharp, fast, creative designer to join the team.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the go-to person for two specific things across our entire client roster:

• YouTube thumbnails - high CTR thumbnails for podcast episodes and long-form videos. A/B testable variants, bold typography, strong contrast, expressive faces, attention-grabbing concepts. We benchmark against the best on the platform and we expect that level of polish.
• Instagram carousels - scroll-stopping carousel designs that drive saves and shares. Educational, listicle, story-driven, and quote-led formats. Brand-consistent across multiple clients while still being visually unique to each.

You'll work alongside our editing team, social media managers, and operations lead to turn briefs around fast and iterate based on performance data.

What we need from you

• Strong portfolio of YouTube thumbnails AND Instagram carousels (both required, not just one)
• Familiarity with high-end podcast and creator thumbnail design as a benchmark
• Proficient in Photoshop and Figma at minimum (Illustrator a plus)
• Ability to turn around 3-5 thumbnail variants per video for A/B testing
• Understanding of typography, hierarchy, contrast, and what stops the scroll
• Fast turnaround times (24-48 hours per asset, sometimes same day)
• English communication strong enough to take briefs in Slack and respond quickly
• Reliable internet and availability across UK working hours (flexibility on timezone if you can deliver)

Bonus points for

• Experience designing for podcast or creator brands specifically
• Understanding of what works on YouTube vs Instagram (they're different)
• Ability to also do reel covers and short-form video covers
• Familiarity with Monday.com, Slack, and Dropbox workflows

The role

• Full-time, remote
• Monthly retainer (rate based on experience and location)
• Working across 10-15 clients simultaneously
• Direct line to founder and operations team
• Long-term opportunity to grow with the agency as we scale (we're at a major growth moment)
• Team trip to Morocco at the end of the year for full-time staff
