The Post Production team ensure the quality of large volumes of marketing images; through checking image quality, airbrushing imperfections and adhering to bespoke art directions using specially designed in-house techniques. This role includes standard image processing and QA, customer rejection resolution, completing Express and Priority products, completing workflow tasks and ad-hoc airbrushing or content checking tasks as needed. Prioritising workloads to ensure the department delivers on its daily KPIs, under guidance from the Post Production Manager and Workflow Coordinator. This role also includes communication across our imaging department and with the wider NIQ Brandbank business via various communication portals.

  • Ensuring quality of images while working to a high volume; understanding and maintaining the different NIQ Brandbank specifications.
  • Maintaining consistency across a range of products in terms of presentation, colour and airbrushing.
  • Understanding product and pack photography and knowing how to address common issues through use of image editing techniques.
  • Prioritizing workload according to Service Level Agreements/internal KPIs and Urgent work requests and reporting on these when required.
  • Be able to QC images returning from our outsourcing partners according to the agreed specifications.
  • Checking files provided by clients to use in content creation and providing feedback on the suitability of the files provided. Ensuring consistency in the quality of supplied content.
  • Create and learn new editing techniques to improve efficiency, including Photoshop actions, as needed.
  • Content creation for new and ongoing imaging services developed by the business, using various software packages and working with supplied files.
  • Working flexibly across the sub functions of the Imaging Department; transferring knowledge and skills to other processes as and when required.
  • Identify and escalate problems with Post Production processes to the Post Production Manager and help to improve them wherever possible.
  • Answering internal queries from other departments within the business agreed department KPIs.
  • Addressing and resolving queries and issues sent to the department through our shared mailboxes.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
  • Practical experience of retouching and expertise in Photoshop.
  • Efficiency and speed whilst maintaining a high quality of Post Production.
  • Organised with a positive attitude.
  • Team player and always willing to offer support.
  • Time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of post production processes and studio environment.
  • Attention to detail; a passion for post production and photography.
  • Responsible attitude with the ability to cope well under pressure.
  • Able to work well with others; raise issues and provide suggestions for solutions.
  • High level of post production knowledge and training is crucial.
  • Advanced training in Adobe Photoshop is essential and knowledge of the rest of the Adobe suite is desirable.
  • Experience of studio/product photography would be useful.
  • Office experience is desired as the role is office based and requires regular communication via email and use of Microsoft Office.
  • You may be asked to undertake additional duties to those above, either on a temporary or permanent basis, which the Company reasonably believes you are capable of carrying out, or for which you will be trained.
