Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook menu items on the grill according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food is cooked to the correct doneness.
- Maintain consistent presentation and portion control for all grilled dishes.
- Manage mise en place for the grill station, ensuring all ingredients and tools are ready before service.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following HACCP and food safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, equipment, and work area.
- Assist in menu planning and suggest improvements for grilled dishes if required.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the Head Chef promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar role in the F&B industry.
- Strong knowledge of different grilling techniques, cooking methods, and meat preparation.
- Familiarity with international and regional grilled food recipes.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary diploma or professional chef certification preferred but not mandatory.
