Grill Chef

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, and cook menu items on the grill according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food is cooked to the correct doneness.
  • Maintain consistent presentation and portion control for all grilled dishes.
  • Manage mise en place for the grill station, ensuring all ingredients and tools are ready before service.
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following HACCP and food safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, equipment, and work area.
  • Assist in menu planning and suggest improvements for grilled dishes if required.
  • Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the Head Chef promptly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar role in the F&B industry.
  • Strong knowledge of different grilling techniques, cooking methods, and meat preparation.
  • Familiarity with international and regional grilled food recipes.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary diploma or professional chef certification preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
