Job Overview:

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. The GRO will ensure compliance with local regulations, advocate for the company's interests, and facilitate smooth interactions between the company and government entities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the company’s activities comply with UAE laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in legislation and policy that may impact the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and other government-related events.
  • Prepare and manage all required documentation for government-related processes, including permits, licenses, and approvals. Provide regular reports on government relations activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support strategic initiatives, including project approvals, regulatory filings, and policy advocacy. Provide guidance on navigating regulatory challenges and opportunities.
  • Address and resolve any issues or disputes with government agencies efficiently and effectively. Act as a liaison between the company and government entities to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage all aspects of visa processing and renewals on behalf of the company.
  • Renew and maintain all company documents such CR, Tax etc.
  • Laise with municipality, economic department, any other governmental departments in relations to trade license and immigration matters.
  • Any other task as assigned by Line Manager.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience as a GRO preferably within the energy or construction sectors, ideally overseeing large-scale projects or operations in UAE.
  • Experience in Administration & Office Management
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and regulations, particularly within the UAE context.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English languages is a preference.
