Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Grocery Purchasing Manager to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships, and stock planning for the grocery department. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, FMCG knowledge, and experience in purchasing and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage end-to-end purchasing of grocery and FMCG items.

· Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.

· Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

· Review and verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.

· Monitor market trends, product pricing, and competitor rates.

· Ensure product quality, freshness, and compliance with standards.

· Maintain good relationships with vendors and resolve supply issues.

· Coordinate with store managers and warehouse teams for accurate stock planning.

· Maintain updated records of purchasing data and supplier contracts.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in grocery purchasing or FMCG procurement.

Strong knowledge of grocery products, suppliers, and market prices.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Strong analytical and inventory management abilities.

Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting.
