Grooming and Style Manager

About the Role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our team as a Grooming and Style Manager and will be responsible to ensure the highest standards of grooming are maintained by creating, monitoring, delivering and managing all related grooming and style policies, procedures and engagement of all Qatar Duty Free employees, thus supporting the representation of the Qatar Airways Group

Operations

• Responsible for creating, updating and managing the Qatar Duty Free grooming and style objectives and lead the implementation of policies and procedures related to grooming ensuring that it is maintained at optimum levels.

• Ensure that new and existing grooming standards and processes are set and clearly defined, enabling the grooming department and line management to perform checks whilst upholding and monitoring grooming standards.

• Create, manage and oversee the update and revision of the grooming guide and SOP, ensuring that it is updated and information distributed regularly.

• Develop grooming training solutions with the training department and provide training to Qatar Duty Free line management/staff to improve knowledge of grooming standards.

• Provide overall leadership & guidance to line managers and departmental staff on various grooming and style topics

• Be the focal point of contact on major grooming issues, and provide solutions to resolve them with minimum downtime or disruption.

• Work and develop line manager's knowledge and grooming awareness to support their staff on grooming and style issues.

• Collaborate with required departments on roll out of a new Qatar Duty Free uniform which will improve staff appearance and give clear identity of Qatar Duty Free staff.

• Inspect Qatar Duty Free staff uniform and grooming standards on a routine basis to provide feedback on improvements to the line management.

• Collate and track feedback from all uniformed personnel to support grooming procedures and standards improvements.

• Ensure all staff adhere to uniform and grooming standards, improving customer perception towards Qatar Duty Free staff.

• Research the root cause of the incorrect usage of the grooming and uniform and, subsequently, recommend and implement solutions to overcome the root cause

• Provide regular updates and reports to line managers on grooming activities and compliance stats. Proactively identify areas for improvement and lead on improvement projects through collaboration with the management team.

• Support Qatar Duty Free events ensuring staff are well groomed and representing the required standards.

• Perform other department duties related to their position as directed by the Head of the Department

About you:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience OR bachelor’s degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience.

Essential:

• Experience in customer service sector

• Fashion and/or beauty experience

• Fashion, grooming and beauty related certifications

• Ability to communicate at all levels in a clear, precise and engaging manner

• Ability to keep self-organized and proactive

• Ability to solve problems and make informed decisions

• Command of English language
