About the Role:

As a Flight Ops Ground Instructor, you will enable our Crewmembers to safely deliver the experience of Flying That Moves Your Soul to our Customers. You will do this through the creation, development, and execution of industry-leading training programs.

A Day in the Life:

  • Facilitate Initial, Upgrade, Transition, and Recurrent training for Crewmembers using online and classroom curricula developed, implemented, and delivered by Ground Instructors.
  • Ensure all training is accurately recorded and certified in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise and assist the Manager of Training on all aspects of the JSX Pilot and Flight Attendant Training Program.
  • Maintain and revise the Pilot Training Manual as needed to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on the most cost-efficient methods of administering state-of-the-art training programs, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Provide support to other members of the JSX training team responsible for employee training outside of pilot and flight attendant programs.
  • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Aviation knowledge background
  • Experience with aviation/aircraft terminology and process
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Pilots or dispatcher certification
  • Working knowledge of FARs, specifically Parts 61, 91, 119, and 135
  • One year or experience training 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135
  • Teaching or facilitation experience

Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:

  • A current and valid Driver’s license is required.
  • A current and valid Passport is required.
  • Ability to develop graphics and interactive training materials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead group discussions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to occasionally lift 5-20 pounds
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Pay & Perks:

Compensation is $75,000-$80,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
