Grounds Crew Member

Overview
Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Grounds Crew Member, where your energy and dedication will help create and maintain beautiful, safe, and functional outdoor spaces around our Country Club. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of transforming landscapes through hands-on work with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and hardscape projects. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure our grounds are pristine, inviting, and well-kept. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscaping, horticulture, and outdoor construction while contributing to vibrant community spaces.

Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy turf growth.
• Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements through pruning, trimming, planting, and cleaning.
• Maintain a beautiful mountain golf course, including greens, fairways, tees and bunkers.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various landscaping and maintenance projects.
• Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and seasonal adjustments to ensure efficient watering practices.
• Use excavation equipment like mini-excavators for site preparation or landscape installation projects.
• Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, or small machinery.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and irrigation systems.
• Experience in landscape maintenance or landscaping projects involving planting, pruning, tree care (trimming or removal), and hardscape installation.
• Familiarity with horticulture principles and gardening techniques to promote healthy plant growth.
• Ability to operate equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
