Grounds Maintenance

Job Description: Responsible for mowing, edging, weeding, debris removal, and general cleanliness and appearance of exterior areas.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:

Operate gas powered mowing equipment to cut grass to a height of 2 to 3 inches to present a uniform appearance.
Operates gas/electric powered Weed eating equipment.
Operates gas/electric powered Edging equipment.
Spread grass mulch clippings evenly to present a neat appearance.
Remove and dispose of trash and debris from the grounds.
Fill holes, ruts, and depressions with dirt to present a neat and even uniform appearance.
Spread granulated fertilizer at prescribed seasonal periods.
Perform basic equipment operation and safety checks.
Promote a positive relationship with the onsite customer.
Work quickly to complete assigned work in a specified period of time.
Other duties as assigned.

This job has different activities during different seasons and at times you may be assigned duties which have not been clearly stated.

Must be able to:

Bend, stoop, lift and push, twist, turn and be able to lift 50 pounds.
Pass a background check
Work independently and with limited supervision. Most work will be performed alone.
Work in a seasonable environment ranging from severe heat and humidity in the summer, to cold temperatures during winter months.
Must be 21 years of age with a clean driving record going back 3 years.
