Groundskeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds, ensuring that the landscape is well-maintained and visually appealing. This role requires a hands-on approach to landscaping tasks, utilizing various tools and equipment to perform essential maintenance duties. Some customer interaction is required, as well.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for landscaped areas, including lawns, gardens, and flower beds.
• Operate power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Property clearing with skid steers and other equipment
• Conduct regular groundskeeping activities such as mowing, trimming, and weeding.
• Driving trucks with and without trailers
• Minor building maintenance
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools to perform landscape tasks efficiently and safely
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and plant health
• Conduct regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth
• Perform landscape maintenance such as pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control
• Assist with gardening tasks by planting new flora, transplanting existing plants, and maintaining flower beds
• Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues related to pests or disease and take appropriate action
• Support overall landscaping projects by preparing sites, spreading mulch or soil amendments, and ensuring cleanliness of work areas

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools used in landscaping tasks is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all work performed.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
