Job Title: Groundskeeper, Elevate Communities

Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Norma Repollet, Community Manager

Position Summary

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall curb appeal of a multifamily community. This role ensures that the grounds, common areas, and exterior amenities are safe, clean, and well-maintained while providing excellent service to residents and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain community grounds, including lawns, landscaping, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces
  • Pick up litter and ensure cleanliness of exterior areas, breezeways, stairwells, and parking lots
  • Assist with trash and recycling management, including dumpster areas and bulk item removal
  • Report safety hazards, property damage, and maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Assist maintenance team with basic tasks as needed (pressure washing, painting prep, light repairs)
  • Ensure pools, playgrounds, and outdoor amenities remain clean and orderly (as applicable)
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provide courteous and professional interaction with residents, vendors, and team members
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow/ice removal (if applicable), and storm cleanup

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic landscaping tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in property appearance
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment

Work Schedule

  • Full-time Monday- Friday; may include weekends, holidays, or on-call support as needed

Compensation

  • $16.64/hr
  • Quarterly short term bonus: $500

Pay: $16.64 per hour
