Job Summary

Groundskeeper

The University of Mount Olive has an immediate opening for a Groundskeeper.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform a variety of landscape maintenance duties to include watering, mowing, weeding, trimming, renovating and fertilizing lawns;
• Calibrate and apply various fertilizers and pesticides related to ornamental plant maintenance, lawn management and turf grass maintenance
• Prepare required pesticide usage report
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including hand tools, mowers, edgers, and blowers
• Test irrigation system
• Assist with the installation of new irrigations systems
• Perform minor repairs as needed
• Pick up debris, pines cones etc…

Must have the ability lift at least 50lbs. Must be detailed oriented. Individual must have neat appearance and excellent people skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours to include weekends.
