Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented HOA Groundskeeper to join our team and maintain the beauty, curb appeal, and safety of our community’s common areas. In this hands-on role, you will work primarily outdoors to maintain landscaping, monitor plant health, and ensure that neighborhood amenities—such as walking paths, clubhouses, pool perimeters, and entryways—are pristine and inviting for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Grounds Upkeep & Maintenance

• Curb Appeal: Conduct daily walk-throughs of common areas to remove litter, debris, and fallen branches.
• Lawn Care: Mow, edge, and fertilize turf areas in common spaces to ensure lush, consistent growth.
• Plant & Shrub Care: Weed, mulch, water, and prune landscaped flowerbeds, hedges, and trees. Remove dead or diseased vegetation.
• Walkways & Paths: Sweep or blow sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots to clear them of dirt and debris.

Seasonal & Weather Responsibilities

• Fall/Winter Cleanup: Rake, blow, and remove leaves from lawns, beds, and drainage areas.
• Snow & Ice Control: Shovel, plow, and salt community sidewalks, driveways, and road intersections during winter weather to ensure safe pedestrian and vehicle access.

Facility & Equipment Care

• Amenities: Assist in keeping community amenities (e.g., pool decks, tennis courts, parks) clean, including wiping down outdoor furniture and emptying trash bins.
• Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate and perform routine preventative maintenance on hand tools and gas-powered machinery (e.g., mowers, blowers, trimmers, snowblowers).

Resident Relations & Compliance

• Professionalism: Act as the face of the HOA in the community, exhibiting a polite and professional demeanor when interacting with residents.
• Reporting: Identify and report potential safety hazards, property damage, or severe pest/disease issues to the HOA Property Manager or Landscape Committee.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: [1-3] years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance.
• Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating commercial-grade lawn mowers, edgers, leaf blowers, and snow removal equipment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift/carry up to [50-75] pounds unassisted. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Optional: Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator License is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong time management, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
