Groundskeeper
Groton School's is seeking a full-time, year-round Groundskeeper to join our Buildings & Grounds Department.
Responsibilities
- Along with other members of the grounds team, maintain campus grounds by mowing, trimming, and removing leaves, along with various other assigned tasks, including snow removal
Requirements
Qualified applicants will possess:
- Good mechanical skills and the ability to operate a variety of landscaping equipment, including tractors, mowers, grass trimmers, and hand tools
- A positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills since work will be performed among students, faculty, and staff on campus grounds
- Minimum of a high school or trade school diploma and a current driver’s license; a hoisting license is a plus
- Ability to shovel snow and occasionally perform heavy lifting
- Willingness to undergo a brief physical fitness test before finalization of hire, given the physical nature of the role
The position requires an individual who can work the following schedule:
- Fall & Spring: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Winter & Summer: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
