Minimum Qualifications:
  • Has a minimum of one year experience in plants and chemicals.
  • Is able to read, write, and effectively communicate the English language; is able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and maintains auto insurance.
  • Moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis, and over 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity, as well as effectively and harmoniously with team members, residents, family members, volunteers, contractors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must be fully up-to-date with required vaccinations.
As a Groundskeeper you can expect to:
  • Performs day to day grounds functions as assigned. Performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
  • Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and that all tools and equipment are cleaned and properly stored.
  • Is responsible for all snow removal and salting of parking lots and walkways.
  • Assures that all ERS grounds are cleaned daily and maintained in a safe manner. Removes trash or debris from grounds on a daily basis.
  • Assists residents and directs the residents during emergencies and/or evacuations.
  • Assists the maintenance department as directed by supervisor.
  • Attends in-services, educational sessions, and other meetings including resident grounds committee meetings.
  • Drives company vehicles and valet parks guest cars as required.
  • Coordinates daily grounds duties with residents, as not to disturb them (when directly involving the residents’ property).
