Job Details:
SUMMARY: The principal responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to insure reliability of maintaining plant grounds always keeping areas with a professional look – to include the following:

Twice a day fills forklift propane tanks for the entire plant (on average 21 tanks). This task requires specific training that is limited to only a few team members in the plant training will be done at the plant.)

Track the level on the main propane vessel and communicates that information for refilling.

Responsible for the upkeep of the grounds including but not limited to mowing (operating tractor, zero turn mower and weed eater)

Responsible during the winter season - snow removal plowing, salting, shoveling (utilizing tractor, truck with salt and plow attachments.) Plus advising on salt usage. Winter hours is expected to be on call and will respond and come in early or stay late to cover duties stated above.

Maintains the ditch pump level (lubes and small repairs on the ditch pump)

Aids in managing summer help related to ground upkeep.

Informs and aids in upkeep of the machinery and vehicles used throughout the year.

Handles trash removal for outlining areas.

Travels around the facility and communicates issues beyond the scope of his duties.

Aids in disposal of oil drum (driving tractor)

Aids in maintaining roads grading and pothole filling.

Works ½ day on Saturday as needed to fill propane.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Previous experience with mowers and tractors is preferred.
Computer Skills: None required.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively; reporting
problems to management; radio communication with co-workers, completing
work orders.
Supervisory: Will serve as a lead person when part-time help is
assigned to grounds keeping.
Special Skills: Must have a valid driver's license in order to drive the
company vehicle to work locations.
