We are seeking a friendly, hardworking Groundskeeper/ Room Maintenance to join our team at Union Bluff Hotel. This is a Full Time position located in York, Maine. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of the hotel, including lawn care, gardening, and infrastructure maintenance.

We are seeking a friendly, hardworking Groundskeeper/ Room Maintenance to join our team at Union Bluff Hotel. This is a Full Time position located in York, Maine. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of the hotel, including lawn care, gardening, and infrastructure maintenance.

Work Performed

As a Groundskeeper/ Room Maintenance, you will perform the following work:

• Lawn care and maintenance, including pulling weeds, trimming hedges, trimming trees, and clearing debris
• Plant care, including watering indoor and outdoor plants, mulching, and fertilizing
• Daily upkeep of property buildings and grounds, including removing, cleaning, and replacing trash bins
• Clean hotel grounds, removing litter and trash on a daily basis
• Lighting maintenance, including replacing bulbs when needed
• Perform basic room maintenance and assist guests with minor in-room issues.
• Help guests with TV operation and troubleshoot simple issues when needed.
• Address minor maintenance problems such as clogged sinks, toilets, or basic plumbing issues.
• Maintain a clean, clear and presentable pool area which includes the organizing of pool chairs, tables as well as clearing of all trash and debris
• Pool maintenance, including pump room machinery
• Sweep, blow, pressure clean hotel walkways and hotel back areas as directed
• Care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment used as part of the role, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition
• Report any equipment or property damage to direct supervisor
• Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• Must be detail oriented, exercising good judgment on professional-looking environment
• Must be able to work onsite at the location
• Hours required: Full Time 30-35 hours per week for AM; Mid; PM shifts; Must be flexible; Weekends
• Proficiency in the English language
• Ability to stand, walk, and kneel as needed to support job duties
• Ability to lift/push up to 10 pounds consistently, up to 75 or more pounds occasionally
• Frequent bending, squatting, twisting and turning
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• As a seasonal property, long hours during peak periods sometimes required

$25 Hourly
