Overview:
The Group Product Manager (GPM) serves as the strategic and execution owner for a major enterprise platform or product portfolio. This role is accountable for defining vision, driving roadmap alignment, ensuring delivery excellence, and maximizing business value realization across multiple product teams.
The GPM connects executive strategy to tactical execution. They lead Product Managers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions that improve enterprise experiences (e.g., employee, patient, clinician, customer, operational). This leader operates at both strategic and operational levels influencing executives while ensuring disciplined backlog execution and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive multi-year platform or portfolio strategy aligned to enterprise objectives.
  • Establish and communicate a clear product vision and value narrative.
  • Ensure roadmap alignment across business units, avoiding siloed or duplicative investments.
  • Translate executive priorities into structured, sequenced delivery plans.
  • Own and oversee multiple product roadmaps within a platform or product domain.
  • Drive prioritization based on enterprise impact, measurable value, and capacity.
  • Establish governance models for intake, backlog management, and value tracking.
  • Manage cross-product dependencies and sequencing across initiatives.
  • Ensure backlog readiness, sprint discipline, and predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Identify risks early, remove blockers, and create executive transparency.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Lead and mentor Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and/or Scrum Masters.
  • Build product management maturity, standards, and best practices.
  • Create frameworks for intake, prioritization, metrics, and value realization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary product escalation and alignment point for senior leadership.
  • Communicate roadmap progress, risks, trade-offs, and ROI clearly and confidently.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align around enterprise outcomes.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics tied to business impact.
  • Track adoption, efficiency gains, cost optimization, and experience improvements.
  • Ensure investments deliver measurable enterprise ROI.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of product management, platform ownership, or enterprise program leadership experience.
  • 4+ years leading cross-functional product or delivery teams.
  • Proven experience owning enterprise-scale platforms or multi-product portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Experience managing large, complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Technical fluency in system integrations, APIs, data structures, and enterprise architecture concepts.
  • Experience working within regulated or complex enterprise environments preferred.
Preferred
  • Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience implementing or scaling enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Experience building product organizations or maturing Agile operating models.
  • Background in digital transformation initiatives.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and scaling evolving product organizations.

  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio investment oversight.
