Job Purpose:
Increase the Talent and Leadership bench strength in DP World by creating and implementing impactful Talent and Leadership development programmes and practices aligned with DP World’s mission, vision and Principles.
Focusing on key talent pools in different areas of the business, the role will require close liaison with Senior Business Unit Management and People Department teams across the world to contextualize Talent Management Practices and inspire behavioural change.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Coaching
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach, provide consultancy to HRBP’s and the business to review current Talent & Leadership capability at different levels. Create short- and long-term strategic plans to enhance current capability using applicable adult development methodologies, tools and solutions. Ensure the impact of Talent and Leadership development solutions is linked to measurable business goals and are aligned with Our Principles.
Build Solutions
- Create innovative yet robust and experiential talent and leadership development solutions incorporating digital learning where applicable. This will include talent & leadership development frameworks and programmes for a global multinational workforce, as well as bespoke interventions and solutions for specific business units or teams. Ensure an evaluation strategy for targeted knowledge and skills (normative and summative) is formulated and subsequently implemented.
- Build Talent and Leadership development solutions to foster a mindset of continuous learning amongst business leaders.
- Collaborate with and evaluate the output of external parties/ vendors when applicable to ensure talent & leadership development solutions are designed in line with DPW standards and meet the desired learning outcomes using latest development trends research, and methodologies.
- Build toolkits, curate resources for leaders to access for their development. Encourage leaders to generate talent development content.
Implement Solutions
- Manage and track the implementation of Talent & Leadership development practices and solutions through a pool of trusted partners including external providers and internal resources.
- Facilitate development solutions to a high standard, creating memorable learning experiences, that accelerate participant growth.
- Confidently provide coaching and support to all levels of leaders in using various knowledge, tools, and resources to create on-the-job and social development experiences.
Measure Value
- Evaluate the impact of Talent & Leadership development solutions. Create metrics and dashboards, share these with People Departments and business units.
- Use data to create a structured review process of Talent development offerings.
Create a Culture
- Partner with HRBPs and business to create a culture of growth. This includes encouraging employees to take ownership of their own development and arming line managers with the skills to support employee development. Design programmes and interventions that support DP World’s desired culture
- Be a source of information for Talent Management related activities such as People Reviews, Calibration Meetings, Individual Development Plans, Talent frameworks and Talent Related concepts.
Talent Expert
- Be a source of information for Talent Management related activities such as People Reviews, Calibration Meetings, Individual Development Plans, Talent frameworks and Talent Related concepts.
Data Analytics
- Maintain database of talent information, partner with the regions, BU and Functions to ensure updated talent information and regular talent reporting and reviews. Supporting business stakeholders in their talent decisions.
Identify talent pipeline issues at different levels.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Proven track record of managing and delivering Talent Development programmes for leaders at different levels.
Commercial acumen and an understanding of business processes.
Ability to deliver and facilitate training/ learning interventions is desired.
Ability to work comfortably in a multicultural environment
Highly developed interpersonal skills – influence, negotiation and communication.
Ability to travel for extended periods at short notice.
Assessment and Coaching Qualification
Qualification in HR, Business or equivalent at minimum Bachelor’s level, Masters level is preferable.
Large scale organizational experience.
Experience in managing a full range of leadership and or Talent development activities.
Ability to communicate multilingually is highly beneficial.
