Job role– Growth & Digital Marketing Manager

(Path to Head of Marketing)

What you’ll own:

● Growth strategy end-to-end – user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetisation funnels.

● Performance channels – Meta, Google, UAC, ASA, influencer & affiliate experiments.

● Lifecycle & engagement – Push notifications, in-app messages, e-mail, WhatsApp; build and automate journeys that hit >1 % PN open rates weekly.

● App store optimisation (ASO) – keywords, creatives, A/B tests to lift install CVR.

● Analytics & experimentation – define metrics, set up dashboards (Mixpanel, GA4, Looker), run rapid A/Bs, draw insights, ship improvements.

● Social presence – plan & publish sharp, culturally resonant content across Instagram, X, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn.

● Brand foundations – support founders on positioning, voice, early PR and partnership plays.

● Budget ownership – optimise CAC/LTV, re-allocate spend in real time.

Must-haves

● 3-4 yrs hands-on growth or digital-marketing experience in consumer-facing startups.

● Demonstrated track-record of scaling an app or web product from 0 → 1 M+ users or similar.

● Deep channel knowledge: paid UA, PN/email lifecycle, ASO, basic SEO.

● Comfort with data: funnels, cohorts, retention curves, SQL/Excel.

● Copy instinct + eye for creatives; can brief designers, write snappy PN copy yourself.

● Hustle, ownership, bias for rapid experimentation; thrive in ambiguity.

Nice-to-haves

● Past stint as early marketing hire / first growth Marketer.

● Exposure to vernacular content or Bharat-focused audiences.

● Basic design/video editing or Canva/Figma chops.

● Familiarity with Hindu cultural context (our audience).

What success looks like in 12 months

● DAU up 3× with sustainable CAC.

● Average PN open rate ≥ 1%, day-30 retention +5 pp.

● Paid conversion funnels optimised to hit revenue targets.

● Clear, data-backed roadmap to scale brand & channels; ready to step into Head-of-Marketing role.
